When trying to view your reports within MonsterInsights, are you seeing the following error?
The API returned a 400 response with this message: Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights failed to retrieve the new report data. Error message:
This API only supports GA4 properties. It does not support GA classic or GA for Firebase properties.
To resolve this error, you will need to reauthenticate MonsterInsights. It’s four easy steps:
Step 1: While logged into your site, Click Insights, and then click Settings
Step 2: Under the Google Authentication section, expand the box and click Disconnect MonsterInsights.
Step 3: You may need to click ‘Force disconnect‘ if you are not disconnected the first time.
Step 4: Once the page has reloaded, click Connect MonsterInsights, following the rest of the steps within the setup wizard that come after.
If you are not able to see the disconnect option, but instead are seeing a blue “Connect MonsterInsights” button, please click that and go through the steps that appear after.
